Head of Sales and Marketing, Horizon56


Role description

Become a part of the leadership team reporting to the CEO in the start-up company Horizon56 that are digitalizing the drilling industry. You will be responsible for managing the overall sales and marketing effort towards oil companies and drilling contractors in the O&G industry. As the first employee with-in sales and marketing, you will setup all required processes and systems from scratch, and growth of the areas with additional employees under your leadership over time.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a deep understanding of customers’ business needs across regions, type, and size relevant for the RigFlow product and Horizon56
  • Develop sales framework and strategy for the RigFlow solution targeting both Oil Companies and Drilling Contractors – this includes tailored sales material to engage customers, required resources and systems to support process and sales methodology etc.
  • Engage with all relevant (small and big) Oil Companies and Drilling Contractors to drive awareness and managing end-to-end sales process through from early engagement to contract closure
  • Setup and execute plans to establish larger commercial and marketing team across relevant locations globally
  • Setup fit-for-purpose marketing strategy, and drive marketing activities supported by Horizon56 incl. driving awareness through LinkedIn, SOME, conferences, and other channels
  • Some travel as part of the job will be required

Required Qualifications

  • Solid experience in digital sales in the Oil & Gas industry, ideally with sales targeted operators.
  • The ideal candidate has existing network towards relevant customers that can be leveraged
  • Proven track record of value sales, sales successes involving sales processes complex stakeholder landscapes.
  • Languages: Fluent in English.

Desired Characteristics

  • Sufficient knowledge of the O&G industry, specifically the offshore drilling operations, in-order to have enough understanding to engage with customer stakeholders on an eye-to-eye basis
  • Motivated to build-up larger sales department over time, but initially being very hands on driving all sales efforts from A to Z.
  • Independent and self-motivated team player that works well in a low-hierarchy, fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with the ability to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences across all organizational levels
  • Excellent communication and language skills

Location of role: Aberdeen, Stavanger, or Copenhagen.
